after walking off the field today and exchanging words with a spectator mr griffin decided to launch a bottle at him. the security were there in a flash and realised the problem was caused by griffin. id like to think this is now a matter for the rfl, what an absolute idiot and to think hes a proffessional player.

yes during the game think there was about 10 left hed just come off.

Saw it as it was just infront of me, think the wakey fan called Griffin a "Bellend" and he totally lost it, offering the fan out and shouting to "come here I'll have you" the wakey fan just laughed then griffin threw his water bottle at him, was lucky not to hit him or another fan and also a few younger supporters, not a pretty scene all round to be honest, for both wakey fans and salford players

I remember My mate shouting ' Bloody Rubbish Turner' at Derek Turner as he left the pitch at Headingly after a Boxing day defeat when he was coach in the 80's. He eyeballed him and said 'come down here and say that'. He shut up.

Get what you're saying but you can't go reacting to people in the crowd that way,there would be absolute bedlam if players acted that way. In fact even if you're on the street and someone called you a name, you can't go throwing you're weight around.

Was it Wayne Bennet who said that if you listen to the crowd, you'll end up sitting with them?



Not nice to call him names, but he should be able to rise above it; I'm sure his loan club will be very pleased if he cops a ban.
