Strange one. Still it keeps the Aussie quota up. Sammut, Smith, Hall, Godinet and Miller. Plenty of options now in the halves, sadly not in the backs.

Very happy with this one - you can never have to many creative players especially with a big pack to exploit.



There used to be a saying in RL that if your pack and halves were good you could pick your backs up at the nearest bus stop and do OK. Now the game has changed a lot and that's not as true as it was but they are still the two most important parts of the the 3 way equation (pack/halves/backs) and we appear to have one and two well covered.



I can see Sammutt moving to FB and hopefully making a fist of it.

I wonder if the thought has crossed Webster's mind of playing Miller as a third Pivot at 13?



It's worked successfully in the past for other teams, we aren't lacking in the pack so would potentially be a good idea to try out.

I was thinking on similar lines except he may be thinking of him as a FB. If I recall he's a decent tackler and fairly quick, wouldn't be the first HB to convert FB successfully.

Wouldn't have thought he'd play him at 13 seeing how in just about every interview he has mentioned wanting a bigger pack next season to avoid getting bullied. Maybe he could play fullback but i don't know how much experience he has of playing there and Hall is more than capable than filling in as a 3rd pivot from that position as it is, Sammut likewise. All 3 would have defensive question marks against them.



I think we'll just see him at 6 playing the supporting role to Tim Smith rather than trying to be the main creator which was his given role at Hull.

That will probably be the best role for him. Unfortunately for everyone, at Hull he was expected to do to much & it just never worked out. Good luck to the kid.

None as far as I can tell, but many young players find that when they hit there early 20's they have been playing the wrong position for years. Toppo was especially astute spotting players who were better suited to other positions. I've no idea if this is the plan.

Think that's fair, sometimes it just doesn't work out and being a a bigger fish in a smaller pond really helps a player regain their form.

Seemed to work ok for Sam Tompkins.

Think it will help Jacob being behind Tim Smith with you, he won't be relied on to do the all the playmaking. When he arrived with us he was basically thrown straight into the team when he should have been eased in & learnt his role in the team.
