Who do you think has got the worst ground in Super League?



Personally, I'd say New Craven Park.



Less than one and a half stands and miles from the pitch. As for re-development, they should just flatten it and build something like what Warrington have done.



I suggested this once on their Board and the natives got restless, asking me if I have ever been to Belle Vue. Well Yes, I have been to Wakefield and I stand any my view.

I don't really get the point in attacking HKRs ground, sure it's not the best but the HKR fans and board know this more than anyone and they have exciting plans for redevelopment.



Am I right in thinking bell vue is also getting up graded?

Currently as grounds as a whole i'd say Wakey, but HKR has the worst stand.

You'd be easily looking at an 8 figure sum to do that. That the council were willing to merely loan (or at least guarantee it, not sure which) the club ~£1.8 million, produced a fairly negative reaction on here, so I assume you don't mean financing it from the public purse. Raising the money privately would be extremely tough in the current climate. Obviously it'd be great, but saying 'they should just...' as if HKR are somehow stalling on an option that actually exists is not a sensible argument, IMO.

The new North Stand effectively replacing the much-derided (though rarely used) South Stand will be a big step forward.



The standard of facilities around the league has improved greatly, and with Salford and Saints taking up residence in their new homes that is continuing. RL fans sometimes like a moan, but that is an undeniable positive of the last few years.

carvan park has the worst facilities for away fans but belle vue is the worst ground by some distance. Away fans facilities will only be marginally better at caravan park when the north stand is built (assuming they shift the golf stand)

Wakefield as a whole is one of the worst, the playing surface is excellent and with the new stands going up this month it really will be a different place when you visit. Poor parking though at the ground.



Odsal is the worst for me always cold and gloomy and the pitch is like curled up sarnies!

while New Craven Park is not super dooper.It is their own not like yours of which you share.Wakey & Cas of which we will still be visiting are still the worst for me, ahem, now that Knowsley road has gone.It seems you have got nothing better to do than to troll, roll on the season then there might be some better discussion on your/this forum.I have been to both the Boulevard & the old HKR ground near the river now they where the pits but where accepted then.You where lucky HKR are not. 1) FC were not "lucky", they accepted tennancy at the KC

2) HKR were not "not lucky" they were offered a tennancy and for (quite understandable reasons IMO) turned it down.

Wakefield by a country mile. An absolute tip and a travesty that they are allowed to continue when clubs like Leigh have amazing facilities.

i,d be interested to know which river the old craven park was near,and also KR,s old ground was much better than their new one,you seem a little confused

Craven Park and Belle Vue are by far the worst 2 in SL.

Odslum is the worst I have been to, at least at Wakefield you're not too far from the action, haven't set foot in the H1N1 stadium (or whatever it's caled) so can't comment.

Rovers isnt "there own"....i thought it was owned by Gaingroup or whatever they are called now.

that was a while ago, no ideas who own it now, but it's new name next season should be "Dale Farm"...........
