Deflated.



I'd being looking forward to the final since the day we got that great victory against Warrington off the back of a deserved win against Catalan.



I don't mind saying that I honestly believed we would get a result, or at least be able to walk away we something to be pleased about.



I was with my Grandfather, a Hull fan for more than half a century who always wears his Dads scarf, someone who supported the club from the very early days. He was gutted, all he wants to see is a Hull victory at Wembley, its his Mecca having watched so many great CC finals there. I'm so disappointed and upset on his behalf and I'm sure many of us have equal reasons to be upset.



Clearly the weather, perhaps the ball (although that will be lost to history), and of course a good Wigan defensive performance played a part, but as a long standing Hull FC fan I'm very deflated by our performance in that game. We created nothing and gave me, and the thousands of Hull fans nothing to cheer about. A dark day in our clubs history in my opinion. Everything counts on how they respond now, I want the performance of the season against Wigan next week.

This was my 1st ever time iv been able to watch FC at wembley...i turned down working (driving a coach there) to go in car and just enjoy the day...



all week iv been getting more and more excited about it..counting it down...



I really did believe we could do it...wigan where there for the taking imo...it was going to be our year!!........obv not





I can take a loss...if its a fair loss and the team played out their skins to try and win...but apart from defence...i didnt see any desire in them...it was just so disapointing....



Not only losing hurt...but on tuesday...i was going to be driving the open top city tour bus with them on...another dream come true..what an honour that was going to be...so double gutted about it!!



and then to rub salt into the wounds...getting home to find my season pass renewal stuff..and pearsons words on the letter...
