| We may have some decent options available over the next week or so.
Daniel Heckenberg - Getting fitter by the week and looking a lot slimmer
Dean Thompson - 2 Try return for the reserves the other day
Thomas Coyle - Water Carrier yesterday but is now ready for a return
Ben Davies - 18th man for Wigan yesterday but they have a few returning
Gareth Haggerty - Back in training apparently 4 weeks away from a return.
Downside
Toa - looks to be out for a while
Ainscough - Looked like an ankle knock

| I would expect that rule is to stop young lads playing 2 games in one weekend leading to possible burn out/overload. If he doesn't play common sense says he should beable to play for Widnes on Sunday to get the game time the dual reg is all about.

No.
Basically, if he is named in the squad, the dual lads cannot play, even if they do not play.

That's not what the rule says though :
Quote Snowy="RFL Operational Rules"(j) In order to protect the welfare of the Player he shall only be entitled to play one fixture
in any week’s round of fixtures;'"
Surely being selected as 18th man wouldn't count as 'playing' would it?

I think it does. I don't recall one instance where someone has been named 18th man and played for Leigh. 18th men have to travel with the team and can be called up to play at any time. In some instances, I could be corrected but teams can play on the same day that make selection impossible.
This I feel is the loophole Millward has been looking for as they would have been available otherwise, so the definite 75% of played games is confusing, especially when you look at how much the player can be messed about on a week to week basis.
Emmit is 18th Man for Saints this week. I bet he doesn't play this weekend.

| Unfortunately TKL has played his last ever game of RL... He wont play again this year and thus has effectively retired...
I think it would be fitting to try and re-launch the Wire FM challenge at Xmas with TKL as a guest of honour. The man has given a lot to rugby in Widnes and Warrington...

This is what I don't get about visiting fans. They all love to have a crack about Toa but in this club he is a well respected player and you're not exactly going to change our minds just by posting drivel, which is lets face it what it was. You show such disrespect for him, his career is over and the best you can come up with is a slight on his abilities. I'll put it in language you can understand. You is stupid innit?
When you've had the balls to play professional rugby league well past your prime and had a better career Toa has come back and mock.
