Difficult one for me in a way as i wasn't in attendance at Salford on Saturday so didnt hear any chants first hand, however several friends were in attendance and aside usual banter and a couple of songs incoporating bad language (not to condone) however not out of the ordinary in all grounds on a weekly basis they saw no bad behaviour to justify us to be singled out.



Andy Wilson's comment -

"Although a small minority of the Castleford fans continue to let down the club with their unnecessarily offensive chanting. They really dont seem a very pleasant bunch"



Why does he feel a need to single out Castleford for press coverage ???



Why does he not comment on Salford stewards inability to control the crowd, after all this occured in there ground and is there responsibilty ?



Surely as this is something present at all grounds on a weekly basis he would be better served doing a piece on the RFL's Respect policy and how clubs are supporting/failing it.



Does this go back to previous problems with Garreth Thomas and certain things stick ?



Although not in question here racist chanting in football is on the agenda.

We know racist and homophobic chanting is not acceptable and has legal implications.

I do however remember feeling at the time the Leeds fans singing a certain song to James Graham was not very tastefull/hurtfull also !



I think this singling out is a little unfair to say the least and would like him to explain his comments, so i will ask him !

The best way would have been to ignore him, all you are doing is giving that baffoon reaction, which will get others looking and by virtue showing he might have some people actually reading his e,

What is he claiming was chanted? I don't remember hearing anything on the Sky coverage.

Isn't this the guy who took a major pop at us for 'spoiling' the occasion of Saints last league game at KR? If so there is a trend forming of mountains being made out of molehills where we are concerned and his journalistic perspective/objectivity is dubious to say the least.

Andy Wilson has just claimed on the phone to be a cas fan , i quote ''cas are my second team'' . He also went on to say he never takes pot shots at us in his column. All this has come around because i emailed the guardian and asked them why they employed such a biased lying clown as a sports reporter. God bless the internet.

Andy Wilson is quite probably one of the worst RL journalists in the business.

I'm not sure what he's heard, but the only chant I can think of is "Salford's a hole, I wanna go home". Which most opposition fans will probably sing at salford this season and which most opposition fans (quite probably salford included will sing at Cas)

Seems a little churlish to report it then, given that on several Sky broadcasts last season, crowds from various clubs could be clearly heard singing jolly ditties about the referee's nocturnal habits and songs suggesting that James Graham was a) overweight b) a ginge and c) born out of wedlock. I also recall RL's new poster boy making an obscene gesture to the crowd during one of the sport's most important showcase matches.



Double standards?

Unfortunatly we have a bad name now due to mr thomas.

I heard nothing and if it hadn't been for the Cas' fans there'd have been no crowd and no atmosphere.



Why didn't Mr Negativity, instead of moaning, choose to praise the magnificent travelling Cas' support on a day when the M62 was like Ice Station Zebra ?

Andy Wilson is a member of rl fans as his post on here a week or so ago asking us to read his bile online. I wonder why he isnt defending his hatred of Cas on here ..................
