| It's all a pack of lies I tell you. I have it on good authority* that he's coming back to Hull and will sign a 4 year contract with our neighbours. He only have to play 5 games for you.

| I hope he does well, but he will have a hell of job removing last seasons partnership of Mullen and Roberts.
I would be surprised to see him back in SL the following year.
Fair play him having another crack at the NRL though.

| Don't think he'll be back in SL quickly. Roberts was very good in the finals but Dobbo's a fair chance of getting his starting place imo. Roberts is more of a runner with quick feet & looks a better bet for the interchange hooking spot to me. My main worry for Dobbo is how he'll combine with Mullen. They play similar games & both are left footed kickers. Hope he goes well.

Thats why i think Mullen and Roberts will work better than Mullen and Dobson, too similar.
Roberts and Dobson could work, but I can't see them dropping Mullen.
He will get a chance at some point in the season, so it's up to him to impress, certainly has the ability to do well in the NRL if he gets a chance, he needs a bit of luck.

| Dobbo's achiles heel will be his defensive frailties. I just don't see him cutting it week in, week out whilst missing so many tackles. I hope I'm wrong, as after his service to Rovers the kid earned his crack at the NRL.

| Roberts really picked his game up after the Knights signed Gower and Dobson, but he still adds very little apart from solid defence and a good show and go once or twice a game. Mullen hasn't had a good halves partner since Andrew Johns and really does play a lone hand, and other teams know that and target him.
Roberts has been super lucky to hold onto the 7 Jersey. He was behind Kurt Gidley till Gidley got injured. He was behind Ryan Stig till Stig got injured. Gower was right on track to take his spot till Gower got injured. He was even one game away from being replaced by reserve grade half AJ Davis, then Davis got injured.
Wayne Bennett keeps hatching plans to replace Roberts with a player who adds more in attack and takes some pressure off Mullen, but the football Gods save him every time, and now he has 60 or 70 firstgrade games and is actually starting to earn his pay.

The dobson rumours were largely started by Rovers fans. It is clear he is not coming to Hull

I know that the false rumours have definitely been peddled by Rovers players and probably a few FC players as well.
No doubt a few months will pass by and they'll get started up again and the same gullible folk who took the bait before will do so again because some fans can't seem to comprehend that players are just like everyone else in that they like to have a bit of a laugh.
I really wish Dobbo all the best at Newcastle but I doubt he'll succeed because his defence isn't great and I just don't think he's very clinical with the ball in hand and a lot of his errors which are forgotten about quickly over here (because of who he is) won't be over there and he'll have a lot fewer opportunities to make his mark in games and I fear this may be the undoing of him.
Of course I hope I'm wrong and he makes a go of it and spends the rest of his career over there but I suspect we'll see him back in SL at some point.

| Forget him he is gone if he comes back ok that's life. lets give this young kid Keating a go that is taking his shirt, he might not be as good as Dobbo, who knows the proof is in the pudding. he played in a grand Final more than Dobbo ever did. From what I know this kid is pretty good not same style play maker, he is more of a runner and if he backs up the pack Rovers look like fielding along with Travis Burns I am really looking forward to next season we have bought well as long as we can keep them fit and well we will do alright Dobson is gone finished forget him its a job to them he is a mercenary he will go where ever the shilling takes him. it is rover now not the past that you should be thinking about
